Together, We Cultivate Compassionate Communities

The River Continues Project

Honoring Legacy Through Compassionate Action

The River Continues Project was created in loving memory of Mark Ingwersen, a proud U.S. Navy Veteran who served during the Vietnam War. Mark was a man of courage, integrity, and deep compassion — values that guided him both in service to his country and throughout his life.

He was also the beloved father of our Project & Event Operations Manager, Drew, and the grandfather of Marcus (pictured here) and Miles. His kindness, humor, and strength continue to inspire the heart of our work.

After Mark’s passing from cancer, we sought a way to honor his legacy — not through sorrow, but through service.

The River Continues Project carries his spirit forward by supporting families and individuals facing hardship through compassionate fundraising — community-driven events that uplift, connect, and inspire hope.

Through The River Continues Project, we’re building a compassionate network of local businesses, venues, artists, musicians, photographers, and service providers who share our mission of giving back.

Together, we make it possible for families to host fundraisers, memorials, and benefit events without financial barriers.

Every partner plays a role in ensuring that hope continues to flow — just like a river.
